Charles W. Giesen has litigated cases in 13 state courts, 21 federal district courts, the courts of appeals for the Fourth, Seventh, Eighth, Tenth and Eleventh Circuits and has presented oral arguments to the Wisconsin Supreme Court three times. 

He is one of only three attorneys in the state of Wisconsin to have won at least three Martin Hanson Memorial Prizes, an award given to "practitioners who have accomplished the rare and difficult task of winning a criminal homicide case."
